Nintendo Switch 2 game boxes may be 40% larger than those of the original Switch
According to Universo Nintendo editor Felipe Lima, the game boxes for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 console may be significantly larger than those used for the original Switch.
Here's What We Know
The new boxes will measure 13 cm wide and 19.5 cm high, making them 40% larger than the previous ones. For comparison, PlayStation 5 game boxes measure 13.5 cm by 17 cm.
This information came to light thanks to a listing for an unnamed Switch 2 game from publisher Take-Two Interactive on French retail website FNAC.
The game cartridges for Switch 2 are expected to be roughly the same size as those for the original Switch. This means that the new, larger boxes may contain even more empty space than before.
Nintendo officially announced the Switch 2 in January, confirming that the console would be released this year, with a full announcement scheduled for 2 April.
