Silent Hill 2 remake provides Konami with high revenues in the third quarter of fiscal year 2025

Konami reported a significant increase in net income and operating profit for the nine months ended 31 December 2024. This success was driven by the release of the Silent Hill 2 remake developed by Bloober Team, which reached the two million copies sold worldwide.

Here's What We Know

Silent Hill 2 remake was released on 8 October 2024 on PlayStation 5 and PC. In the first three days after the release, more than a million copies of the game were sold, and as of 23 January 2025, this figure exceeded two million.

In its financial report, Konami also noted the success of sports games such as Professional Baseball Spirits 2024-2025 and eBaseball: MLB PRO SPIRIT, which also contributed to the good profit in the third quarter.

Total net income for the nine months increased 32% year-on-year to 228,882 million yen. Operating profit increased by 44.6% to ¥80,817 million.
