MultiVersus CEO condemns threats to developers after game's closure announcement

On 31 January, it was announced that MultiVersus would end support and close on 30 May. However, some fans crossed the line by threatening the developers. The game's director, Tony Huynh, issued a statement condemning such actions and calling for understanding.
Here's What We Know
Warner Bros Games and Player First Games have announced that the fifth season of MultiVersus will be the last, and the game will be removed from digital stores and disabled on 30 May. After that, players will only be able to play offline.
In a statement, Tony Huynh thanked players for their support and apologised for the situation. He said: "I know this is painful for everyone, and every member of the Player First Games team feels the same way. But I have to say this: you have the right to express your opinions, but when it comes to threats, it's crossing the line."
He emphasised that the team has always tried to listen to the community and act accordingly, but is limited by time and resources. "I also hope that the community notices that we are trying to listen and act. Like any developer, we are limited by time and resources," he added.
So if anyone should express dissatisfaction, it should be the publisher, not the developer (and better without threats).
