The number of sold copies of Black Myth: Wukong may have reached 25 million - rumours
Almost half a year after the release of Black Myth: Wukong, the game continues to reach new milestones in terms of the number of copies sold: according to Niko Partnets, the game has sold over 25 million copies, which is a significant jump from the September report of 20 million.
Here's What We Know
The success of the game goes beyond digital and physical copies. On 15 January, developer Game Science launched a flagship store on the e-commerce platform Tmall, offering branded merchandise such as figures and accessories. The response was overwhelming: in just three days, sales exceeded 3 million yuan (approximately USD 416,811). Due to the high demand, some products are expected to be delivered within 90 days.
To capitalise on this momentum, the developer has formed a dedicated team to design, produce and sell additional merchandise to provide fans with more ways to interact with the game's universe.
