American startup unveils an impact drone that can be launched by throwing a football
The XDOWN startup has developed the PS Killer, a football-like strike drone that is adapted to be launched quickly by throwing it towards a target.

PS Killer works on the principle of "throw and forget", which led to its shape similar to an American football. The process of using the drone is as simple as possible: just pick it up, switch it on using the button on the body, and throw it. In the air, it takes about two seconds for the drone to spread its wings and propeller blades.

The drone can reach speeds of up to 250 km/h and has a range of over 60 km. It is positioned as a high-precision weapon for special forces. At the same time, it remains unknown how the drone is controlled at such a distance, as there are no optical systems in the published photos.
In addition, remote control over 5-10 km usually requires bulky stations or repeaters, which raises questions about the claimed characteristics. The long range may be partly explained by the ability of the PS Killer to operate as part of a "drone swarm".
