Hertz is selling off rare Shelby Mach-E GTs.

Hertz is getting rid of Shelby-branded electric cars less than a year after introducing them to its rental fleet.
Here's What We Know
Initially, only 100 copies of Shelby Mach-E GT were produced, and now 67 more cars remain on sale through the official website of the rental company. And they are listed at a fixed price of $59,995, regardless of mileage. Some of the examples for sale have a mileage of about 8,000 to 10,000 miles. For example, one car in Las Vegas has only 4,000 miles, while another in Texas has about 15,000 miles.

At launch, these cars were offered to Hertz customers as exclusive 480bhp electric cars, with lowered suspension, an aggressive body kit and even a simulated V8 sound. As Motor1 notes, the price of these Shelby Mach-E GTs is probably overpriced. A regular Mustang Mach-E GT with the same 480-hp motor sells for almost half the price. However, back in November, prices started at $65,000, so eventually these electric cars will still get new owners.
This sale isn't the only signal that Hertz wants to downsize its electric car fleet. The company previously sold Tesla Model 3s en masse, with some examples going for as low as $20,000.
