ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra: the AI flagship that works without an internet connection

ASUS has officially unveiled Zenfone 12 Ultra, a new flagship smartphone that makes extensive use of artificial intelligence.
Here's What We Know
Thanks to the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the device can perform AI tasks both online and offline, including transcribing audio, summarising articles and documents, and simultaneous translation during calls for supported languages. In addition, Zenfone 12 Ultra has Circle to Search, similar to other Android smartphones.
The smartphone's AI capabilities are provided by Meta's Llama 3 8B language model, which works without an internet connection.

The display of the device is a 6.78-inch AMOLED matrix with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz in normal mode and 144 Hz during games. The main camera consists of three sensors: 50 MP Sony Lytia 700 with six-axis stabilisation, 32 MP telephoto lens and 12 MP ultra-wide camera with a 120° viewing angle. The front camera is 32 MP RGBW. AI software enhancements help keep objects in the centre of the frame, add bokeh effect and improve voice clarity in videos.
The battery capacity is 5,500 mAh, which provides more than 26 hours of operation. The smartphone supports Qi 1.3 wireless charging, eSIM and WiFi 7.
The Zenfone 12 Ultra will go on sale in Europe for €1,099.99, with a special offer for €999.99 from 6-28 February. Available colours: Sage Green, Ebony Black and Sakura White. There is no information about the release in the US and the UK yet.
