Sony is making life much easier for photographers using its cameras. They can now send their photos directly from their cameras to Google Drive and Adobe Lightroom with the updated Sony Creators app.

Here's What We Know

Traditionally, transferring photos from a camera to a computer required a USB connection or a memory card reader. However, most modern cameras have wireless functionality that allows you to transfer photos via special apps to smartphones or computers.

Thanks to integration with Google Drive and Adobe Lightroom, photographers can send their photos to the cloud without using a computer. This significantly speeds up the workflow, especially for those who work on location, such as at weddings or sporting events. There is no need to stop to transfer files to a laptop and back to the cloud.

It also allows you to instantly back up your photos to Google Drive or import them into Lightroom for immediate editing. This saves time and minimises the risk of data loss due to damaged memory cards or accidental deletion of photos.

The updated ability to send photos directly to Google Drive and Adobe Lightroom is available for the following Sony camera models:

  • Sony FX3
  • Sony FX30
  • Sony α1 II
