After a not-so-successful launch on PC, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has received its first major patch. The update is aimed at solving problems with frequent crashes and improving overall stability.

Here's What We Know

The game made its debut on PC on 30 January, but players encountered numerous crashes, bugs, and optimisation issues. This led to mixed reviews on Steam. The developers quickly responded by releasing several emergency fixes, and now they have presented a full patch.

The main changes in the update:

  • Fixed several crash causes based on player feedback and crash reporting system data.
  • Improved the crash reporting system with support for screenshots.
  • Added the ability to switch between Film Style Animation and Comic SFX in the game settings.
  • Improved interface to make it easier to start a new playthrough in New Game+ mode.
  • Implemented backup of autosaves at key points in the story.
  • Added the ability to scroll with the mouse in the manual load/save menu.
  • Fixed various visual and interface bugs related to DLSS Ray Reconstruction and ray tracing.

The developers noted that not all known issues were resolved in this update, but they continue to work on regular updates with additional fixes, improvements, and performance optimisations.
