New CAD rendering of the iPhone 17 case reveals the new smartphone design

The iPhone 16 smartphones arrived just 4 months ago, and rumours about the new iPhone 17 lineup have already started to trickle out. Earlier, it was reported that the new iPhones will get an updated design. A new CAD render of the iPhone 17 case, published on Platform X, confirms a possible significant change in the design of the device.
Here's What We Know
The CAD render of the case was published by well-known insider Majin Bu on his X profile. In the comments, he said that this render most likely refers to the base model of the iPhone 17 lineup or could be a variant of the iPhone 17 Air.

The image shows a large horizontal pill-shaped cutout that will house the camera and other components. On the left side of the cutout is a round cutout for the camera lens, and on the right side is a small hole, possibly for an LED flash. The rest of the design is unchanged, and the camera and volume buttons are placed on the same side, just like the iPhone 16.
Case companies get the schematics of the new iPhones before the official launch so that they can start mass-producing the accessories in time. However, sometimes these schematics are shared too early, before the final design is confirmed. So it's worth treating this information with a degree of scepticism for now.
