The first beta version of iOS 18.4 could be released as early as the middle of next week, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

Here's What We Know

Next week will be a busy one for Apple, with the launch of the new Powerbeats with heart rate sensor and iPhone SE 4 expected. However, the company may release iOS 18.4 Beta 1 on 12 or 13 February. If Apple decides to postpone the release, the update may appear on 18 February, as 17 February is Presidents' Day in the US.

Apple usually releases beta versions quickly after official releases, but there was a pause between iOS 18.3 and iOS 18.4 Beta 1. The last major update, iOS 18.3, was released back on 27 January, and it will be two weeks until 10 February.

According to rumours, iOS 18.4 will bring significant improvements to Siri based on Apple Intelligence. The assistant will receive enhanced contextual awareness, better interaction between apps, and new personalisation options.

In addition to changes to Siri, iOS 18.4 is likely to add new emojis, change the settings of standard apps in EU countries, and expand Apple Intelligence support to more languages and regions.

Apple has already confirmed that Apple Intelligence will be available in new countries with the April update, so the beta testing of iOS 18.4 is likely to last until March.

Apple has released the iOS 18.3 update for iPhone 11 with bug fixes. This is a special update that likely contains a fix for a bug that has been affecting iPhone 11 users. Apple originally released iOS 18.3 last week, but has now fixed issues that may have been occurring on this series of devices.
