According to OpenAI, negotiations with German officials on the opening of the office have been ongoing since 2023. Germany is one of the company's key markets in Europe in terms of the number of users, subscribers, and developers working with the OpenAI API.

A representative of OpenAI told TechCrunch that the Munich office initially plans to hire specialists in communications, global relations, and business development. However, the number of open positions has not yet been disclosed.
The opening of the office in Germany is the next step in the company's expansion of its presence in the EU. Earlier, OpenAI launched offices in Paris, Brussels, and Dublin.
Recently, OpenAI announced the expanded availability of ChatGPT Search. Now anyone can use ChatGPT Search without the need for an account or login.
OpenAI has released a new machine learning model, o3-mini, which is already available for ChatGPT users. For the first time, the company has opened access to one of its "logic" models even for free accounts.
