Huawei introduces FreeArc wireless headphones in the form of a hook

Huawei held its first product presentation of 2025 in Japan, where it introduced several new devices, including the Watch D2 and FreeBuds Pro. The most attention was drawn to Huawei FreeArc wireless headphones, which received a unique design.
Here's What We Know
Unlike traditional in-ear headphones, the FreeArc has an open design style with a hook-shaped shape that wraps around the ear.
FreeArc is constructed with materials commonly used in aerospace and medical applications, such as Ni-Ti shape memory alloy and 35A liquid silicone. This makes the headphones flexible and comfortable against the skin. According to Huawei, they can withstand more than 20,000 bends and retain their shape for up to five years.
The design consists of two parts that are connected. The battery is placed at the back, and the sound driver is located directly on the ear. Each earbud weighs 8.9 grams, which is a moderate weight that should not interfere with everyday use.

FreeArc are available in three colours: Grass Green, White and Black. They feature a 17 x 12 mm high-sensitivity driver for deep bass, a titanium diaphragm and a neodymium magnet for improved sound clarity. The dual microphone system reduces wind noise at speeds up to 4 m/s.
Thanks to a specially designed antenna, the headphones provide a stable connection to your phone. The battery lasts up to 28 hours with the charging case, and 10 minutes of charging gives up to 3 hours of listening time.
The price of Huawei FreeArc is 18,800 yen (approximately 124 US dollars or 904 yuan). The headphones will soon be available in China and other countries. Regional availability details will be announced later.
