Just $41 million - Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 creator reveals the game's staggeringly modest production budget

The development of big-budget games every year becomes more expensive, sometimes reaching hundreds of millions of dollars. So, according to analysts, the budget of GTA 6 may reach $2 billion.
However, the example of Warhorse Studios showed that to produce a high-quality project of interest to gamers do not always need huge investments.
Here's What We Know
The head of Warhorse Daniel Vávra gave an interview to the Czech edition of Seznam Zpravy, in which he named the cost of development of the new role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which debuted just a few days ago.
The game director said that the production budget of the game was 1 billion Czech crowns, which corresponds to $41 million.
For such a massive, elaborate, and varied game, that's an incredibly low price tag. Perhaps, Vavra is slightly lying and implies that $41 million the game cost Warhorse, and the sums invested by Deep Silver, Embracer Group and private investors, the game director preferred not to mention.
In any case, the developers released an excellent game, which sold 1 million copies on the first day alone and paid off completely in just a few days. Both gamers and critics were delighted with Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and this is the best proof that every crone was not wasted.
