Euro Truck Simulator 2 is used in scientific research to determine driver fatigue

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is so realistic that it has been used to determine driver fatigue.
Here's What We Know
A researcher at the Liberec Technical University in the Czech Republic, Mr Martinka, chose the game to safely simulate long-term driving conditions without risking the participants in the experiment.
Participants in the study spent up to seven hours behind the wheel, using a gaming chair and steering wheel, simulating conditions that cause fatigue. The goal was to determine the exact moment of microsleep in drivers. To do this, a "smart T-shirt" was developed that tracks a person's breathing patterns.
According to Martinka, this T-shirt provides more accurate fatigue detection than standard car systems, and its sensors are almost invisible and washable.
