Bloomberg: Apple hasn't given up on developing its own AR glasses, but has significantly revised their concept

Recently it was reported online that Apple cancelled the development of its own augmented reality glasses. However, it was unclear why the corporation would abandon such a potentially promising novelty and today Bloomberg has clarified this issue.
Here's What We Know
In a new issue of the weekly news digest Power On authoritative insider and journalist Bloomberg Mark Gurman explained that Apple did refuse to create one particular model of AR-glasses, but it was a device that needed a connection to a Mac to work.
The company concluded that such a concept wasn't viable and cancelled it, and is instead developing completely standalone AR glasses that won't be dependent on other devices.
Gurman noted that such a novelty is unlikely to appear on sale in the next 3-5 years, so the concept of the device may yet undergo changes.
