Warner Bros. Games is going through significant internal changes, with rumours of a Monolith reboot of Wonder Woman. Meanwhile, WB Games Montreal remains relatively quiet after the poor reception of Gotham Knights.

Here's What We Know

A recent Bloomberg report shed some light on the situation at the studio, seemingly confirming that the 2022 action RPG was originally planned as an online game. However, halfway through development, these plans were cancelled as the team struggled to make progress. Reportedly, the studio proposed a "1.5" version of Gotham Knights, but management rejected the idea, instead instructing the team to support other projects.

Since then, WB Games Montreal has presented several new projects, including a game based on John Constantine, which WB Games showed little interest in, as well as a project featuring The Flash, which was abandoned after the 2023 film about this character did not receive proper results. This was followed by resignations of the management, which sources attribute to frustration with corporate governance.

Currently, as previously reported, the studio is assisting with Wonder Woman and is also applying to create a new game based on George Martin's Game of Thrones. It remains uncertain whether the project will be approved.
