Players who are planning to play Grand Theft Auto 6 on PC should be aware of one important thing. GTA 6 will initially be available only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC version coming later.

Here's What We Know

CEO of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick, explained that the company usually does not release its major projects on all platforms at the same time. First, the game is released on consoles, and then on other platforms, including PC. This approach helps to increase console sales and allows the game to be optimised for each platform separately.

Zelnick also noted that the PC market is becoming an increasingly important part of the business, and PC versions can account for up to 40% of total game sales. Therefore, although GTA 6 will not be released on PC initially, the company recognises the importance of this platform and plans to release the game for it in the future.

GTA 6 is currently scheduled for release in autumn 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The exact release date for PC has not yet been announced, but given the company's previous experience, we can expect it to appear a year or two after the console release.
