ColorWare has released a new line of customised AirPods, including AirPods Max, AirPods Pro 2, and AirPods 4, available in different shades of brown.

Here's What We Know

The new colours are designed to look more neutral and be less noticeable in the ears than the classic white AirPods.

There are three colours available for each product: a light "Glaze" shade, a creamy, medium brown "Toasty" shade, and a dark brown "Java" shade. These shades are reminiscent of the neutral colours Apple used for the Beats line in collaboration with Kim Kardashian.

ColorWare is known for customising Apple products and has been painting electronics in a variety of colours for over a decade. For AirPods, the company uses a proprietary colouring methodology that guarantees colour fastness.

The price of customised AirPods is quite high. For example, Blended AirPods Max cost $849, AirPods Pro 2 - $439, and AirPods 4 - $329 for the standard version and $379 for the ANC model. Aside from the custom colour, the performance and functionality of the AirPods remain the same as the standard Apple models.

ColorWare has also recently introduced custom colours for the Mac mini called "Retro", including classic cream and matte black. These models start at $899.

Apple-owned Beats has officially announced the new Powerbeats Pro 2 wireless headphones. As it became known, the new headphones will receive a firmware update that will be available from day one.
