Crytek's studio crisis: the company has stopped work on the new Crysis instalment and is conducting a massive wave of layoffs
Back in 2021, German studio Crytek announced the development of a new part of the famous shooter series Crysis.
It was obvious that the game will not be released in the near future, but now there is a possibility that it will never be released.
Here's What We Know
Crytek published a statement in which it reported about a large-scale wave of layoffs, as a result of which 15% of employees will lose their jobs. But gamers will be more upset by the news that back in the third quarter of 2024, the development of Crysis 4 (the name is conditional) was completely stopped.

At the moment all the forces of the team are thrown to support the network shooter Hunt: Showdown 1896, and the fate of Crysis is still under great question, but the reduction will affect not only the technical department, but also directly the developers who participated in the creation of the new shooter.
