The epic process of renaming the Gulf of Mexico continues.

According to one of the first decrees of the newly elected US President Donald Trump, the Gulf of Mexico, which has had this name since the 16th century, should be renamed the Gulf of America.

Yesterday we reported that Trump's executive order carried out: Google maps renames the Gulf of Mexico to the American Gulf of Mexico, but there is a nuance: Google compromised and completely replaced the name in the US, while in Mexico it was left unchanged, and around the world Maps users see two names: the old and the new.

Here's What We Know

Today, Trump's decree was hurriedly fulfilled by Apple, but, apparently, the management of this corporation does not like half-measures and approached the issue radically: Apple Maps users in all countries now see exclusively the new name - the American Gulf.

Apparently, the president of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum will have to deal not only with Google, but also with Apple.
