The new Ram ProMaster EV: 110 kWh battery, price from $56,000 and a range of 164 miles (264 km)

Ram has officially opened orders for its first production electric vehicle, the ProMaster EV 2025 cargo van. However, with a starting price starting at $56,495 (excluding delivery), its range is only 164 miles (264 kilometres), which is clearly unimpressive compared to passenger electric cars.
What's known about the Ram ProMaster EV
The van will be available in two versions:
- Cargo Van (regular van) - with a 12-foot (3.65 m) or 13-foot (3.96 m) cargo area and a 159-inch (4,039 mm) wheelbase
- The Step Van (courier version) is a more expensive model that starts at $69,995
Payload capacity:
- Cargo Van - 3,020 lb (1,369 kg)
- Step Van - 2,876 lb (1,304 kg)
All versions of the ProMaster EV have a 110 kWh battery, front-wheel drive, 268 hp and 302 lb-ft (409 N-m) of torque. The Cargo Van has a range of 164 miles (264 km), while the Step Van has a range of 180 miles (290 km).

Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis said the ProMaster EV is suitable for last-mile delivery and corporate transport. He also cited low load height and front-wheel drive as advantages, which is useful for courier services, construction companies and logistics services.
Deliveries of the electric vans to the US market will start in the second quarter of 2025.
