A new take on Knights of the Round Table: Chinese studio announces ambitious action game Tides of Annihilation
At State of Play, young Chinese studio Eclipse Glow, which is backed by Tencent, announced a noteworthy game called Tides of Annihilation.
Here's What We Know
Tides of Annihilation is a dynamic action game, which stylistically reminds a bit of some parts of Final Fantasy. The main character of the game will be a girl Gwendolyn, who will control the ghostly Knights of the Round Table from the legends about King Arthur. She commands a mystical mist and with its help she can summon several companions of her choice to help her in battle.
The events of Tides of Annihilation unfold in two realities - in the otherworld, which resembles the Middle Ages, and in modern London, where otherworldly creatures are rampant.
The game looks interesting and can become another confirmation that Chinese people have learnt to create great action games.
When We Can Expect It
Tides of Annihilation has no release date yet, the game is in development on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
