Apple is working on a new 27-inch mini-LED display that could be released as early as the end of 2025. This was reported by display analyst Ross Young.

Here's What We Know

The new product may be an updated version of the Studio Display, first introduced in 2022.

Unlike the current Studio Display, which uses a 5K LED panel, the new mini-LED version will offer significantly better brightness, contrast, and colour accuracy. According to Yang, the display will use mini-LED technology from Epistar, and the panels will be supplied by LG Display.

Back in 2023, Yang claimed that Apple was developing a Studio Display Pro with ProMotion support, but the company later cancelled the project. At the same time, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo insisted that Apple still plans to release a new 27-inch display in 2025.

Mini-LED is already used in the MacBook Pro, providing brighter colours, deeper blacks, and improved contrast. The MacBook Pro displays have more than 10,000 mini-LEDs, which makes the image more detailed.

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman also confirmed Apple's development, but predicts the display will be released in 2026.

Recently, Apple CEO Tim Cook intrigued social media users with a new announcement. In his post, he wrote: "Get ready to meet a new family member" and added the hashtag #AppleLaunch.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the most likely announcement is the new iPhone SE. Earlier, he reported that Apple plans to unveil the deviceAlready next week.
