Tides of Annihilation looks amazing: detailed gameplay video of the ambitious Chinese action game has been published
At the last State of Play show the most emotions and impressions were left by the announcement of A new take on Knights of the Round Table: Chinese studio announces ambitious action game Tides of Annihilation from Chinese studio Eclipse Glow.
Stylistically the game reminds some parts of Final Fantasy, and from the gameplay point of view the association with Devil May Cry 5 is suggested.
At the Sony event the public was presented only a small trailer, but shortly after that IGN portal published a lengthy video.
Here's What We Know
IGN showed viewers an 11-minute video exclusively provided by the developers. In it, gamers can see Tides of Annihilation's protagonist Gwendolyn fighting creepy monsters in the ruins of London.
The heroine masterfully wields several weapons and actively uses magic abilities, which demonstrates the wide possibilities of the combat system and excellent understanding of the developers of what the audience wants from the games of this genre.
In addition to London, Gwendolyn will find herself in a world that resembles the Middle Ages. Being the head of the Knights of the Round Table, the girl will try to find the fragments of the Holy Grail to restore London and save her family. And the ghostly legendary knights help her in her dangerous journey.
The game looks great and may well become another Chinese hit, along with Black Myth: Wukong and the future Phantom Blade Zero.
When We Can Expect It
No release date has been given for Tides of Annihilation yet, the game is in development for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
