The realisation that it won't work: Phil Spencer is no longer trying to lure players to switch to Xbox

Xbox CEO Phil Spencer has said that he is no longer trying to force all players to switch to Xbox. In the XboxEra podcast, he emphasised that, given the commitment of players to their chosen platforms, the goal is to make Xbox games available on a variety of devices.
Here's What We Know
Spencer pointed out that many players have substantial game libraries on other platforms, such as PlayStation or Nintendo, and he does not want to force them to switch to Xbox. Instead, the company aims to give more people the opportunity to play Xbox games on their favourite devices. Although selling games on competing platforms means that Xbox only receives 70% of the sales, this revenue helps to create quality game portfolios.
At the same time, Spencer acknowledged that investing in its own platform remains important, as sales on its own devices are more profitable. Nevertheless, Xbox's strategy is now focused on expanding the availability of its games rather than forcing players to switch platforms.
