Here's What We Know

The operation was led by the Israeli Ministry of Defence (IMOD) and coordinated by the IMOD Mission to the United States, the International Transportation Authority and the Defence Procurement Directorate (DPD).

Logistical support was provided by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) Technology and Logistics Directorate, using dozens of trucks to transport the ammunition.

Since the start of the current procurement, Israel has received more than 76,000 tonnes of military equipment, delivered by 678 air and 129 sea shipments. This is the largest air and sea shipment in the country's history.

Israeli Defence Minister Yisrael Katz called the delivery a strategic asset for the Israeli Air Force (IAF) and the IDF, stressing the importance of the Israeli-American alliance. According to him, in a conversation with US Secretary of Defence Pete Hagesse, the US side reaffirmed its readiness to provide Israel with the necessary military equipment. He also thanked US President Donald Trump and his administration for supporting the country's security.
