Rumour: Sony still hasn't decided whether to hold a large-scale PlayStation Showcase presentation this summer or limit it to State of Play

Sony has not yet decided whether it will hold a full-fledged PlayStation Showcase this summer or limit itself to a smaller State of Play.
Here's What We Know
According to Giant Bomb journalist Jeff Grubb, Sony is currently discussing both options.
"They could still have some interesting announcements and start to build anticipation for 2026," Grubb said, commenting on Sony's marketing plans for the rest of the year
"Internally, they seem to be wavering between a full presentation this summer and another State of Play. But they are considering a Showcase."
The last large-scale PlayStation presentation took place in 2023, when Metal Gear Solid Delta was announced, as well as detailed demonstrations of Spider-Man 2, Dragon's Dogma 2, and other high-profile games.
