Redmi has revealed how many updates the recently launched international versions of the Redmi Note 14 4G and Redmi Note 14 5G smartphones will receive.
Here's What We Know
The international version of the Redmi Note 14 4G will get 6 years of security updates and 4 major Android updates, ending its cycle on Android 18 in 2027. Meanwhile, the international version of the Redmi Note 14 5G will get only 2 major Android updates and 4 years of security updates, ending its life on Android 16, which is expected to be released in June this year. To recall, both the models were launched with Android 14.

Redmi is most likely inspired by Samsung's support that provides 6 years of updates even for budget models, however, it is not quite clear why the Note 14 5G model has only 2 years of Android updates and 4 years - security. What this has to do with - there is no official explanation yet.
