Xiaomi has finally released the global HyperOS 2.1 update for its flagship from last year, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. Although this update is not as extensive as the previous version of HyperOS 2, it still offers many new features and capabilities based on artificial intelligence.

Here's What We Know

According to XiaomiTime, the new HyperOS 2.1 update has firmware version OS2.0.102.0.

The main innovations include an updated home screen and control centre. Users can now choose a new 4 x 6 layout for the home screen without a search box. In the control centre, the ability to adjust the brightness of the flashlight has been added, as well as a new feature that notifies users when the flashlight is active to save battery power.

In terms of camera improvements, HyperOS 2.1 improves the night mode, which allows you to take better photos in the dark. Backlight shooting has also been improved and image quality has been optimised for different lighting conditions.

The smartphone's gallery has also undergone changes: there is now a new album layout with the ability to hide the Today, on this day feature and a new view for displaying albums. The ability to delete files in bulk and perform actions with a long press has been added.

HyperOS 2.1 also includes improvements for gamers: a new performance bar provides a smooth gaming experience and Xiao AI offers helpful hints. In addition, the update allows you to use voice control to create albums and search for media.

The update also introduces a new "Offline Mode" that allows users to conduct voice chats without an internet connection. In addition, file transfer between devices has become even easier with the ability to use multiple Xiaomi accounts.

It should be noted that Xiaomi 14 Ultra was one of the first devices to receive the global HyperOS 2 update.
