Shelby's legacy will live on: Peaky Blinders won't be the last project in the franchise

Steven Knight, the creator of the cult series Peaky Blinders, said that the franchise will not end after the release of the upcoming Netflix film. Viewers can expect new adventures in the world of Peaky Blinders.

In an interview with BBC Breakfast, Knight confirmed that the film will be the end of Shelby's story, but hinted at the further development of the franchise. "I can't officially announce it, but I will say this: the world of Peaky Blinders will continue to exist," he said.
The film, titled The Immortal Man, was completed on 13 December 2024. The team is currently working on editing, and Knight assured that the result will impress fans. "It's an incredible thing. It's a very fitting way to end this part of the story," he said.
The film is set during the Second World War. The Shelby family faces its own challenges amidst the global conflict. Cillian Murphy will return to the role of Thomas Shelby, and he will be joined by Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth and Barry Keoghan.
Although there are no official announcements about the sequel yet, Knight's words make it clear that the franchise has great potential for new stories.
The release date of The Immortal Man has not yet been announced. But fans can be sure that this is not the last time they will see Peaky Blinders.
