Instead of a cartridge, we got a mini-bomb: the latest games released by Limited Run Games for the NES can break the console

Limited Run Games has informed its customers that it does not recommend using two of the most recently released NES cartridges as it may cause damage to the console or cartridge.
Here's What We Know
The company has released physical versions of Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland and Piopow, which are intended for use on the original NES. However, buyers received emails warning that the cartridges could be unsafe to use.
In the letter, Limited Run noted that due to voltage regulation issues, there is a "slight possibility" that prolonged use of these games could damage both the cartridge and the console. "We have been made aware of this issue by our community and have immediately launched an investigation," the statement said.
The company also confirmed that these games were not made by their usual partner, with whom they have worked on more than 30 projects. Limited Run is currently checking all NES games produced by this supplier.
As Limited Run is selling their games for a limited time, both games are no longer available for purchase. The company has decided not to ship orders that have not yet been shipped and plans to recycle the cartridges through its "trusted manufacturing partner".
Players who have pre-ordered the Rugrats Collector's Edition will be asked if they want to receive the set without the NES cartridge (with a patched version in the future), or wait longer for the set with the patched cartridge.
Those customers who have not yet received their orders and do not want to wait for a new cartridge can contact Limited Run for a full refund. For those who have already received the cartridge, the company recommends not continuing to use it. Instead, a new version will be automatically sent to each customer as soon as possible.
