NetEase is pleased: in just three months, Marvel Rivals has attracted 40 million players

NetEase has published a financial report that confirms the tremendous success of the Marvel Rivals online action game.
Here's What We Know
The Chinese corporation reported that in three months, 40 million people joined the battles between Superheroes and insidious villains in Marvel Rivals. And also the developer recalled that for the first three days the number of players was 10 million people.
Such a result could be the envy of any service game, but since Marvel Rivals is distributed for free - to fix the success will be possible only on a long distance. If the public will not lose interest in the game and will regularly make in-game purchases - NetEase will have a material reason to rejoice in its achievements.
But for now, Marvel Rivals does not lose popularity and helps the company to improve its financial performance. According to the report,
- for the fourth quarter, total revenue from video games and related services at NetEase grew 1.5% to $2.9 billion;
- for 2024, revenue reached $11.5 billion.
As a reminder, the second half of the first season kicks off tomorrow (21 February) and Marvel Rivals will feature two more members of the Fantastic Four: Human Torch and The Thing.
