Not an offer for everyone: Atari has announced physical editions of The Thing: Remastered, but only for two platforms

December saw the release of The Thing: Remastered, a cult horror shooter based on the John Carpenter film of the same name.
The updated game was released only in digital format, but the developers will correct this situation and offer gamers the opportunity to put another game on the shelf.
Here's What We Know
Atari and Nightdive Studios have revealed that The Thing: Remastered will be released on physical media on 25 June, but only for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
Buyers will be offered two editions:
- Standard Edition priced at $34.99, which includes only the game disc;
- The Deluxe edition, priced at $49.99, also includes additional collectibles, including a stealbook, poster, Captain Blake ID, patches and a special box.
Pre-orders are now open on Atari's website, and the game will be available at retailers worldwide at a later date.

The release date for the physical editions was chosen for a reason - it will be the 43rd anniversary of the premiere of The Thing.
The Thing: Remastered is available on PC (Steam, GOG), Xbox Series, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
