Not only flagships: Galaxy A53 receives important security update in South Korea

Samsung continues to improve the security of its Galaxy A series smartphones, and now it's the turn of the Galaxy A53, which has received a new software update. It brings with it a security patch for February 2025 that addresses a number of vulnerabilities.
Here's What We Know
Currently, this update is available for only one version of the smartphone that the company sells in its market in South Korea. It is the SM-A536N model. Other variants of the Galaxy A53 will also receive this update soon.
How to update your smartphone
Updating your Galaxy A53 to the latest software version is quite simple. To do this, go to the settings: Settings, Software update, Download and install. If you don't see the update, it means that Samsung hasn't released it for your device yet, and you may need to wait.
If you don't want to wait, you can download the firmware from the SamMobile database and install it on your phone using Odin software on a Windows computer. However, this option is risky and may result in your smartphone being locked. Therefore, be sure to back up your data and proceed with caution.
In addition, the Galaxy A53 will also receive an update to One UI 7.0 based on Android 15. Samsung usually releases a new version of Android at the end of the year. However, this year the company is behind schedule. Recent reports indicate that the update could arrive at any time.
