The Galaxy A54 variant for the Americas, Asia, and Australia with model number SM-A546E is receiving a new software update. This update includes the February 2025 security patch that addresses a number of security issues.

Here's What We Know

The new firmware version is A546EXXSBCYB1. According to the SamMobile database, the update is already available in Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. However, Samsung is likely to continue rolling out the update in other regions as well.

For those who don't know how to get the update, go to Settings, Software Update, Download and Install. Alternatively, the new firmware can be downloaded from the SamMobile database and installed using Odin on a Windows computer.

The Galaxy A54 will receive Android 15 based on One UI 7.0, which will offer a new interface, new features and smoother animations compared to One UI 6.1, which is currently installed on the phone.

Although there is no information on the release date of the update yet, a recent report suggests that it could be coming soon.

It's also worth noting that Samsung may soon unveil the Galaxy A56.

It is worth noting that Samsung has officially listed the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26 on its website for Chile, mentioning the retail names and model numbers on the out-of-warranty repair page. This confirms the existence of the three phones and that Samsung plans to release them in the near future.

However, insiders report that the Galaxy A56 may be a little more difficult to repair than the A55
