Amazon MGM Studio has acquired the rights to the James Bond franchise

"James Bond" (James Bond) is being taken over by Amazon - it was announced by the franchise's rights holders and producers Michael G. Wilson (Michael Wilson) and Barbara Broccoli.

Portal Deadline reported that now the development of a series of sharp spy action films about Agent 007 will be engaged in the film company Amazon MGM Studio.
To organise cooperation Wilson and Broccoli create a joint venture with Amazon to preserve the rights to intellectual property "James Bond" and will remain its co-owners, but creative control will go to Amazon.
Details of the deal and its value have not yet been disclosed.
Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studio head Mike Hopkins commented on the agreement:
'Since appearing in cinemas more than 60 years ago, James Bond has been one of the most iconic characters in entertainment films. We are grateful to Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman for bringing James Bond to cinemas around the world, and to Michael Wilson. Bond is adored by fans around the world. We are honoured to continue this precious legacy and look forward to the start of the next phase of the legendary Agent 007.
