Zepp Health has begun rolling out the Balance OTA 8.1 update, also known as firmware version 3.25.11.1, to Amazfit Balance smartwatch users worldwide.

Here's What We Know

This update is the first release for the device in the new year. The previous update, 3.25.5.5, was released in December and introduced improvements to the step counting algorithm, as well as new features such as strength training quality assessment and additional training modes, including dog walking.

The OTA 8.1 update aims to improve the smartwatch's sleep monitoring capabilities by optimising sleep and wake detection algorithms. Although Amazfit has not provided supporting data for these improvements, the changelog states that users can expect better accuracy in tracking their dreams.
