Ukrainian developers from Pars presented a model of the Trembita cruise missile with a range of up to 150 kilometres at the defence exhibition.

Here's What We Know

The head of the company, Akim Klemenov, noted that the missile is manufactured using simple technologies, which can significantly reduce its cost. It is built around a pulsating jet engine that has no moving parts, making it cheaper and easier to manufacture. The basic version of the missile costs $4-4,500, but with the addition of a warhead and more sophisticated avionics, the cost can rise to $10-15,000.

The developers have received funding from the Brave1 Innovation Fund and are currently completing the testing phase of the decoy version of the missile, after which they will begin testing its strike version. Part of the technical documentation has already been submitted to the Ministry of Defence for codification.

According to the developers, the strike version of Trembita will be equipped with a 20 kg warhead and will be able to hit targets at a distance of 150-160 km. The maximum speed of the missile will be 110 m/s (about 400 km/h).

The decoy version will carry an additional fuel tank instead of a warhead, which will increase the range to 200 km. To launch the missile, a special semi-trailer has been created that can simultaneously carry up to seven missiles.

The developers position the Trembita as a long-range frontline weapon that complements classical missile and artillery weapons. Both versions of the missile can be used to deplete enemy air defence systems and destroy targets.
