While most smartphone manufacturers have been updating their devices to Android 15 for months now, Samsung fans are frustrated with the slow rollout of One UI 7 based on the latest system. The beta programme for the Galaxy S24 series, which started in December 2024, is still ongoing and there is no official announcement of a stable version yet.

Here's What We Know

However, the latest reports suggest that the stable rollout could begin in March. More disappointing is that some Galaxy devices will receive Android 15 as the last major OS update. This list includes:

  • Galaxy S21
  • Galaxy S21+
  • Galaxy S21 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Fold 3
  • Galaxy Z Flip 3
  • Galaxy A14
  • Galaxy A14 5G
  • Galaxy M33
  • Galaxy M14
  • Galaxy M14 5G
  • Galaxy F14
  • Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2022)
  • Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro

While Android 15 will be the last OS update for these devices, they will receive incremental One UI updates such as One UI 7.1 as well as security updates for some time to come.

To summarise, these smartphones and tablets will remain relevant for some more time, but with the release of One UI 8.0 expected in the second half of the year, users of the above devices should think about replacing them if they want to receive the latest software.
