After the announcement of the iPhone 16e, all attention is focused on the iPhone 17 line. A recent leak from well-known insider Sonny Dixon gives us an idea of what the iPhone 17 Pro Max will look like.

Here's What We Know

On social media, Dixon published a rendering of the alleged design of the flagship along with a MagSafe case created for the new shape of the device. The most noticeable change is the redesigned camera system.

Instead of the traditional camera block in the upper left corner, a new approach is used: the components are more separated. The built-in flash, microphone and LiDAR sensor are now separated from the three main lenses.

This camera design, the so-called "camera bar", is expected not only in the iPhone 17 Pro Max, but also in the iPhone 17 Pro and the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air. At the same time, the standard iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus will not receive any visual changes to the camera layout.

If these leaks are true, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will have one of Apple's most unique designs in recent years.

The iPhone 17 Pro may get aluminium bezels instead of titanium. In a note to investors obtained by MacRumors, analyst Jeff Pu said that the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max models will have aluminium bezels. The iPhone 17 Air, he said, will have a titanium frame.

This will be a notable change for the Pro models, as the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro all have titanium frames, making them lighter compared to the heavier stainless steel frames in the iPhone 14 Pro.
