A few days ago it became known about the hacking of the crypto exchange Bybit. As a result of a successful (for hackers) attack, $1.46bn was stolen from the cold wallet.

Analysts assume that North Korean hackers from Lazarus Group are involved in the theft, who managed to change the logic of the smart contract and withdraw such significant funds from it.

Here's What We Know

Of course Bybit is interested in finding the cybercriminals and recovering the stolen cryptocurrency. For this purpose, the exchange has announced a reward of up to 10% of the stolen amount. Consequently, those who provide important information and help to get on the trail of criminals will receive $140 million.

A reward of 10 per cent of the amount recovered will allow participants to share a potential sum of up to $140 million in the event of a full recovery.

Bybit assures that "all other wallets are completely safe."
