Baykar presents updated Bayraktar TB2T-AI with artificial intelligence and turboprop engine
The Turkish company Baykar has presented a new modification of the Bayraktar TB2 multi-purpose drone called TB2T-AI, equipped with a turboprop engine and onboard artificial intelligence.

The drone has already completed a series of test flights, during which it set a family record by reaching an altitude of 9.2 km. It can reach an altitude of 9.1 km in less than 30 minutes. The maximum speed of the new TB2T-AI has increased to 300 km/h, and its maximum take-off weight has also increased.

The built-in artificial intelligence allows for autonomous flight with visual reference to the terrain, as well as target identification analysis, autonomous take-off and landing, and independent route analysis and optimisation.
However, the company has not yet announced any changes to the combat or payload of the new drone.
