The updated Škoda Octavia is now available with all-wheel drive and a 204bhp 2.0 TSI engine.

Škoda has announced the start of sales of the all-wheel drive version of the updated Octavia in hatchback and station wagon (Combi) bodies. The car receives a 2.0-litre TSI petrol turbo engine with an output of 150 kW (204 hp) and a seven-speed DSG transmission. The first deliveries to customers will start in the coming weeks.
Here's What We Know
- Engine: 2.0 TSI (150 kW / 204 hp), 14 hp more powerful than the previous version
- Torque: 320 Nm
- 0-100 km/h acceleration: 6.6 sec (hatchback), 6.7 sec (station wagon)
- Top speed: 228 km/h
- All-wheel drive: electrohydraulic clutch with up to 100 per cent torque transfer to the rear axle.
- Maximum towed trailer weight: 1,900kg
When all wheels have the same traction, the inter-axle clutch distributes torque to a maximum ratio of 50:50 between the front and rear axles. Torque transfer between the axles is further optimised by the electronic EDS and XDS systems.
The updated Octavia 4×4 is available in Essence, Selection Loft, Lodge, Lounge, Suite and Sportline, but availability may vary from country to country. Prices in Germany start from 39,760 euros for the hatchback in the Selection configuration. The price tag for all-wheel drive Octavia in station wagon (Combi) with a similar configuration starts at 40,460 euros.
It should be noted that only the RS version with a 2.0 TSI engine in the 195 kW (265 hp) modification is more powerful. This modification has a 7-speed DSG transmission.
