Samsung is working with Google to develop its own augmented reality glasses based on the Android XR operating system.

The manufacturer does not yet disclose details of the gadget, but it is stated that it will be very ambitious.

Here's What We Know

A new Samsung patent, discovered by the portal XpertPick in the database of the US Patent and Trademark Office, shows an interesting idea.

The company has patented a device that will allow smartglasses to correct the user's vision. The registered patent describes a mechanised system that moves and allows the lenses to be replaced to help users achieve better visual acuity or focus.

The invention would replace traditional corrective glasses that are fitted by a doctor and would save people with poor vision from having to wear two pairs of glasses to use augmented or virtual reality devices.

Of course, registering a patent doesn't mean the invention will reach or please the buyer, but the Korean company's idea sounds very interesting and has a lot of potential.
