Here's What We Know
The opening of the joint venture in Ukraine is expected to speed up the supply of armoured vehicles to the Ukrainian forces, which are already using Roshel vehicles in combat operations.
The Minister of Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin stressed that the integration of Western technologies into the defence sector will increase the speed of production and help deepen cooperation with allied countries.

UDI CEO Oleg Gulyak stressed the importance of localising the production of Western armoured vehicles, noting that this partnership demonstrates Ukraine's ability to adapt its production capabilities while continuing to develop its own tanks and combat vehicles.
"We are localising the construction of Western armoured vehicles, which is a great sign of the adaptability of our production. At the same time, we continue to develop our own tanks and armoured combat vehicles. The symbiosis of Western and Ukrainian armour should become a solid foundation for our Defence Forces," explained Oleh Gulyak, CEO of Ukroboronprom.
"The combination of Western and Ukrainian armoured vehicles will become an important basis for the defence forces. Joint ventures will play a key role in ensuring sustainable support for frontline operations.
