We wrote that Striking Distance Studios, which created The Callisto Protocol, has experienced a wave of layoffs that affected "most developers". And now there is an official comment on this situation.

Here's What We Know

The gg editorial team received an official comment from the Korean publisher Krafton, which is the parent company of Striking Distance.

Striking Distance Studios has reduced the size of its team to remain flexible, creating a sustainable environment for the studio at its current stage of development and for future projects. The studio continues to operate, and these changes will not affect the planned ongoing support. No further changes are planned at this time.

As a reminder, the studio's new project is rumoured to be a 3-player multiplayer game created on Unreal Engine 5. However, no official announcement is expected at this time.
