Team Fortress 2 Classic mod, which returns the team-based shooter to its early days, will be released this year

Team Fortress 2 Classic, a popular mod for Team Fortress 2 that recreates the game's early era, will officially be released on Steam in 2025.
Here's What We Know
This mod, which began development in 2014 and was first released in 2020, brings back the atmosphere of the original game to players, including a new class and original weapons such as the nailgun, dynamite set, and tranquiliser. In addition, the mod supports four teams in modes such as Arena and King of the Mountain, which adds variety to the game.
The mod restores the character styling from the beta version of the game, brings back deleted content and adds new content, including new game modes and improved visuals. Players will be able to customise their experience with extended mod support, including new weapons and maps.
To play Team Fortress 2 Classic, you need to own the original Team Fortress 2 game, which is available for free. The official release of the mod on Steam comes after Valve publishes the Team Fortress 2 code, which opens the door for even more advanced modifications in the future.
