Microsoft continues to expand its multi-platform release strategy by releasing its games on platforms such as PlayStataion 5 and Nintendo Switch. And the company likes it that way.

Here's What We Know

The head of Xbox Game Studios Craig Duncan believes that this approach is beneficial for both players and Microsoft studios. "I think it's good for players, it's good for our studios. Our studios make fantastic games, and we want to give them the opportunity to reach the largest possible audience," he said in the official Xbox podcast.

This strategy is supported by Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer, who has previously noted that restricting access to games does not contribute to their development. Microsoft has already released several games on PlayStation 5, including Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, Grounded, and Hi-Fi Rush. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Forza Horizon 5 will be released on this platform in the spring. In addition, Doom: The Dark Ages will be available simultaneously on Xbox and PlayStation 5 in May this year.

This approach not only increases the audience, but also brings additional revenue to Microsoft, which is used to finance new projects.
