White Owls studio in cooperation with Cult Games publishing house released the debut trailer of unusual psychedelic action game with roguelike elements Hotel Barcelona.
Here's What We Know
The most interesting thing about the game is the fact that it is created by two famous Japanese game designers, who are famous for their unconventional approach to creativity: Hidetaka Suehiro, known under the nickname Swery65 - the author of Deadly Premonition, and Goichi Suda (Suda51) - the author of No More Heroes, Lollipop Chainsaw and other conceptual games.
The protagonist of Hotel Barcelona will be Justine, a forensic scientist possessed by the spirit of a serial killer nicknamed Carnival. The girl will come to a creepy hotel, where for some reason seven maniacs meet and her main task will be to destroy all the criminals.
Since the player will need many attempts to defeat each of the enemies, Justine will die often, but after each death her body does not disappear, but continues to exist as a phantom, repeating the previous actions of the player.
Hotel Barcelona features a bright and aggressive psychedelic visual style and, like all of Suehiro and Suda's games, will definitely not appeal to everyone.
When We Can Expect It
Hotel Barcelona will be released "soon", so far only the MS version has been announced.
